Your Surgeon: Ms Angelica Kavouni MD, FRCS, EBOPRAS.
Ms Kavouni graduated from the medical school
of Thessaloniki , Greece and continued her postgraduate studies
in the UK on a scholarship from the Erasmus European Institute.
She trained fully in Plastic Surgery in London NHS Hospitals;
following her certification she specialised in Cosmetic Surgery
as a fellow at the Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
at Stamford Hospital and then spent two more years working
as an associate cosmetic surgeon to Jan Stanek, a busy cosmetic
surgeon.
She has completed her doctoral thesis (MD) on growth hormone
and wound healing for the University of Thessaloniki.
She is on the General Medical Council specialist register in Plastic Surgery
Her qualifications include:
Fellowship
of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS),
Fellowship
of the European Boards in Plastic, Reconstructive and
Aesthetic Surgery,
Membership
of the Hellenic and International Federation of Plastic,
Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS).
She attends courses and seminars regularly and
publishes on cosmetic surgery topics in medical journals.
Ms Angelica Kavouni is in private practice full time, based in Harley Street.

and female surgery
Liposculpture
Abdominoplasty
and body contouring after major weight loss
Minimal
access facial surgery.
Ms Angelica Kavouni says:
As a surgical fellow I had been fascinated with the art
of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery. It represents an excellent
way of blending the aesthetic principles of the Hellenic cultural
heritage with modern medicine! However I feel that cosmetic
procedures are not to be taken lightly. There is a lot of
responsibility and a great challenge to create a pleasing
result. It can be life-changing experience but only when it
is performed for the right reasons!
